Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
les étudiants avec les gens? it kinda sounds weird
Les étudiants sont avec le peuple / les gens
The first if you're talking about a nationwide protest, like if the whole of France is protesting and students from Germany support them
Instead of avec you can also say soutiennent from soutenir = to support
This would be missing 'are'.
You can also say les manifestants instead of les gens but depends on how you wanna put it
because then you're literally referring to the protestors
ah so it would be "les étudiants soutiennent les gens" ?
thank you so much !
'Gens' does indeed mean 'people', but in a very general sense.
Yeah if it's clear who les gens are
Le peuple/les citoyens might be a better fit.
Ah yeah les citoyens
okay i want to refer to the people in my country only
Then yeah peuple which makes it sound more like "we are with the people" which sounds like you're expressing nationwide hardship
Or les citoyens as casca said
Cus like
It's often government vs regular citizens or smth
Vive la Révolution
Did i help
OKAYY JUST TO MAKE SURE " Les étudiants soutiennent les citoyens" correct?
yus
pas de soucis ;p👍
Are you Indonesian by any chance
yup HAHA
Pantesan
anyway, aku pribadi sih bakal bilang « les étudiants soutiennent le peuple (indonésien) »
citoyen = citizen (warga)
peuple = nation (rakyat)
gens = people in a general sense (orang-orang)
Parce qu'en Indonésie, il y a beaucoup de manifestations contre le gouvernement à cause des conneries electorales
Je le sais parce que je suis indonésien moi-même
Ahh omgg
Oui je savais ça
Je sais déjà tout

Omg wish i could speak to someone in my native language here
