Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
you're right
the "correct" answer is the formal version
the even more correct would be "avez-vous besoin de cet ordinateur ?"
but your sentence is absolutely correct
huh, the verb-pronoun form was accepted
thank you!
(it was literally the opposite case a few exercises ago lol, where the avez-vous was not accepted but the vous avez was 😠)
Your issue is with how you spelled ordinateur
It definitely did.
It can also be plural
Can it? 'This computer' is singular, so I would be surprised if Duo accepted 'ordinateurs'.
Responding to their question that "vous is just formal tu"
That makes sense. ^^
Something Courtney said might apply here: Duolingo essentially uses « vous » as a plural always because it tries to be informal and conversational so this might be why you got flagged
I'm sure it was just the typo
