Calling someone a "concombre" is an insult to say he is an idiot. A similar expression/insult is calling someone "tarte" or "nouille". So the person also selected the guy because he is calling him stupid

maybe because of his shirt saying "F*CK LEGAULT" (Legault is the current prime minister of Quebec)
