Please be patient
Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I think traditional pronunciation is /otɔn/ but either one works
Il a posé cette question avant ?
is there a reason for this second way of pronouncing it?
Close/open mid vowels are levelling off, it’s the same reason why é /e/ and è /ɛ/ are sounding more and more alike
Only in unstressed (non word final) syllables really, otherwise regionally (I have Belgium in mind)
what is non word final?
It doesn't occur at the end of a word (the last syllable)
