Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
When used impersonally the pronoun "il" expresses actions, states, or situations where there is no specific subject.
In these cases, "il" doesnt refer to a specific person or thing but rather to a general condition, the weather, time, or an unspecified situation
Like for exemple in "it rains" in english, the "it" is impersonal
Because "it" doesn't refer to anyone or anything in particular. "It" rains, ok but what rains ? In french they use "il" for this purpose, like "il pleut" (it rains)
It is snowing - il neige
It is important that you do that - il est important que tu fais cela
Just to supply u with sum more examples -- also, what did u mean with "i know this isn't my chat" ma'am u have every right to ask questions here ๐ญ
simple but great explanation.
I'm glad you feel that way ! ๐
