Hello. I plan to learn both French and Spanish. Spanish, because my partners family only speaks Spanish. Not to mention, it is useful for me geographically. I would like to learn french because of the industry I work in. Many of my co-workers speak french, and I feel in the future it is not unlikely that I would go often to french speaking countries.

I hear people say some languages are easier to learn based on what languages you already know. Based on this, would be be beneficial to learn one over the other first? Or it won't really effect anything majorly long-term? I'm just trying to plan for the future.

This one’s tough it’s really your choice do you value speaking Spanish with your partner more or speaking French with your co workers.

In terms of pronunciation Spanish is def easier due to no silent endings and the language is spoken how it’s read

Both will take you near the same amount of time to learn so it’s completely up to you
