Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Thoooom ! (:
"Coucher" and "dormir" have related but different meanings in French.
If we want to be precise, here's the explanation :
-> Dormir = to sleep.
It refers to the act of sleeping itself.
Example : "Je dors" = "I'm sleeping".
-> Coucher = to go to bed, to lie down.
It refers to the action of getting ready for bed or lying down to sleep.
Example: "Je vais me coucher" = "I am going to bed".
The literal translation would be :
"I am going to put myself to bed."
The real meaning is :
"I am going to bed."

Btw, really great to watch a kids cartoon to begin with !!!!! Proud of u (:
Yes the cartoon has more sentence structures than just I est pizza. As shown by my much confusion. ๐
You are motivated, it's great
Also the verb is "se coucher", it's a reflexive verb.
So some verbs are always reflexive? And some are always not? And some are mixed?
The verb in that context is "se coucher" but the verb "coucher" exists as well, and means "to lay smth down"
