Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Être bavard ?
this expression might serve your purpose: he's running off at the mouth> he's babbling, talking incesssantly...with the conotation that he's been repetitive.
now we need to get a good French phrase or idiom to substitute it.

Oui, "être bavard"
Exemple :
Tu es bavard.
Il n'arrête pas de parler, il est très bavard !
okay, that one is good, then.
Maybe intarissable?
Peut-être "causeur". Mais dans la vie de tous les jours, c'est toujours le mot "bavard".
Bavard, c’est un mot fort?
Ou non?
J'aime bien "pipelette" aussi, mais "bavard" est plus neutre
C'est un mot général.
J'y ai pensé, mais "pipelette" est peut-être trop familier ?
Oui, ça va dépendre du contexte !
yes, it is a common word 'bavarder'. very familiar
Je ne trouve pas que bavard(er) soit très familier
C'est quelque chose que pourrait dire un professeur à ses élèves : "arrêtez de bavarder !"
yes, familiar does not mean nothing else that it is used a lot by many folks from different walks of life. That is how I view familiar in terms ofa word.
Ah c’est joli ce mot
Ah, d'accord ! OK :D
Merci
