-er verb conjugations
Eeyyy I feel like I’m actually learning now✨✨
For the sake of clarity, this is the conjugation in present tense for all regular er verbs
Ouh merci merci😌
Nice
Yup you’re doing well, virtually all -er verbs conjugate like this. Now, you might find some special cases with verbs that end with -ger and -cer but that’s fine. The special case here is a lot more relevant with the imparfait but it appears in the first person plural: « nous mangeons / commençons ». The reasoning here is spelling: the consonants G and C make a hard sound in front of vowels like « a, u, o » and a soft sound in front of vowels like « i, e ». This poses a problem for verbs like « manger » and « commencer » whose G and C are soft but paired with the first person plural ending « ons », the resulting conjugations « mangons, commencons » would’ve made them hard. So, for -ger we add an E between the stem and the ending to make it soft « mangeons » and for -cer we turn the regular C to a cedilla since that’s always soft « commençons »
Sorry to overwhelm you but just in case you meet this
