I just looked up clips of the show on youtube: he says “mon cœur”, not “mon cher”.

“Cœur” is a masculine noun regardless of who it’s a nickname for, so it’s always “mon cœur”.

Oohh je vois merci!!! I think I may have mixed it up with another character whom he called "chérie" (not sure if he called her chérie, her name was cherry, or cherie is a normal french name xD)
