Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
i would use conditionnel here as it's a supposition: "croyant que de vils pleurs laveraient nos taches"
and you can switch the two parts of the sentence and say: "croyant laver toutes nos taches par de vils pleurs"
which sounds more natural, as your sentence sounds very literary
Oh, interesting. That's the first time I see that. So could I say too "croyant laveraient toutes nos taches que de vils pleurs"?
no lol, you cannot switch every word in the way you want ๐ญ
i couldn't explain more how it works though
๐ np thank you for your help
Maybe when we write "Croyant que" that is like "Believing that" so "de vils pleurs" becomes a subject. Do you think so?
@mild kindle
no there's no subject since laver is an infinitive
in english you would say "believing washing our stains with our cries", but for stylistic and emphatic reasons i guess it's not wrong to say "believing, with our cries, washing our stains"
it's not natural, and sounds literary/poetic, as in french
