Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
there is something of which you come to realize, or better put you come to the realization of something, that something is represented by 'en'
« on » peut être écrit avec l’article défini, surtout dans des contextes formels, puisqu’il était un pronom au singulier. Il est lié au mot « homme ».
The french uses on to, like, represent someone, could be the speaker , could be a generalization, but generally speaking, it's the speaker saying 'me'. I am not sure this comes across clearly but that is the sense I have.
Pretty sure OP is asking about the « sans que l’on » part
👍
I explained what I believe below that. Wanted to clear the on part just in case
So I can just drop it in a non-formal situation? it won't change the meaning?
Grammar is not my strong point but wanted to say that is how I perceive the usage.
Yes
You can tell it’s not an object pronoun since it’s located BEFORE the subject pronoun
Thank you both @bronze vapor and @steep flower.
