Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
no, it doesn't work
Aw okay thx
ne... pas carries a simple negation where as ne... plus carries a meaning of not anymore: it used to be the case but isn't anymore
@north mural
your question has already been answered, so I'll just give you some examples
je ne parle pas -- I'm not talking
je ne parle plus -- I'm not talking anymore
you could see pas plus in the wild but it is actually two seperate phrases next to each other -- ne ... pas and then plus. for example:
je n'ai pas plus que lui.
I don't have more than him.
to be clear, it is two seperate phrases next to each other
je n'ai pas (I don't have)
plus que lui (more than him)
Thank you (:
I figured it wouldnt work but i was hoping it would bc i wrote it on an exam xD
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe they'll give you a half mark ☺️
