Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
We have the same thing in English, "bitch" refers to a female dog, but is generally considered negative outside of specialized contexts (for breeders it would be fine, as the context is blatantly clear) so we use the masculine/neutral form, "dog"
