Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I mean for the first one i can immediately hear 'ses amis sont des chiens' with liaison
for the second one, it's forbidden because « sa maison » is a singular noun
but for the first one, i don't know why it's forbidden 🤔
here's the article if you interessed:
It wouldn’t sound the same if there were a liaison. There would be a /z/ sound if it were a liaison but an /s/ sound for sont
We had this discussion with you several times before, it's a technically optional liaison but so rare that it's generally considered forbidden and will likely sound off to natives, simply because it's fallen out of usage
you basically never do the liaison after nouns.
The only exception is with plural nouns followed up by an adjective where the liaison using the plural mark (usually -s) is optional.
