Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
The second person singular pronoun to use after prepositions like “avec”, "de", "et" etc. is “toi”, not “tu”.
“Je ne sais pas, et toi ?” would have been correct.
thank you
toi is the default form of the pronoun, the one you use wherever you don't use tu or te.
Tu and te can only ever occur right next to a verb. When far from any verb toi is the only possible form.
tu = subject
toi = object
"toi" isn't necessarily an object, and the object form of "tu" isn't necessarily "toi".
"je te parle" ==> here the indirect object is "te"
"je te déteste" ==> here the direct object is "te"
"J'espère que ta famille et toi allez bien" ==> "toi" is part of the subject
@junior dust Please respond in threads. And as answered above, it's wrong because grammatically you can't use tu here. It has to be toi or vous
Okey, thanks for letting me know, and also for the correction
"Tu" is mostly used in questions
No, the usage of tu as a pronoun is not dictated by whether or not it's a question. It's determined by who you're speaking to, and its role in the sentence
yes??
"Tu es ou"?
ah nvm
