Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

We use it both in it's literal sense and as a filler word.
Literally, it means in fact; actually
Je pensais qu'il n'était pas intéressé, mais en fait, il l'était!
I thought he wasn't interested, but actually, he was!
Elle m'a dit qu'elle détestait le chocolat, en fait, elle adore ça.
She told me she hated chocolate, in fact, she loves it.
As a filler word, it's used similarly to um, ehh, like, etc.
Just be careful not to use it too much as a filler word in formal conversations 🙂
