Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
it's not the only one
and trust me, there are a lot more verbs that are gonna cause you trouble with conjugation
'clore' is a very formal verb, so you won't see it a lot imo
on why you don't see it used with many tenses, it's because its conjugation sucks
so basically there is no reason other than people not using it in these tenses?
yeah
finding a sentence where it's the only verb that can be used is rare
i.e l'assemblée nationale: "ils ont clos la séance"
"clore le débat"
what about using it with nous and vous
never seen
in every single case this page shows, the verb is replaceable
so basically clore is a superfluous overly formal verb that is rarely used in french, any other examples for such verbs?
not that comes to mind immediately
but there sure are some
bon, cimer beaucoup!
oh wait
I found a list
"déambuler"
"s'adonner"
"répudier"
Pour atteindre le niveau C1 / C2, le plus important c’est d’avoir un large vocabulaire, de savoir expliquer, argumenter, nuancer tes propos. C’est...
most verbs in this list 🤣
there are explainations in there too
perfect thank you so much!
