Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
“Comme on peut le voir sur cette photo, …” is more correct.

Honestly, I don't know. A pronoun referring back to the main topic is always included in such constructions ("as we can <verb>, ...")
Comme vous pouvez le constater, ...
Comme tu le sais, ....
Comme on en a parlé, ....
Comme ils y ont fait allusion, ....

It seems like french just is more inclined to include object pronouns than English. E.g. 'je le sais' sounds more natural than 'I know it' where 'it' will be typically omitted
