Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

elle un bel appartement OR elle le bel appartement. im so confused
both are incorrect, can you reformulate your question?
the lecturer didn't even mention any of this, but it's in the exam tomorrow.
and how do we distinguish rapidly whether a sentence is definite or indefinite, for example, is it always definite when there is c'est or de+(noun) in the sentence?
context is the main thing.
Definite articles are used for specific instances. (the in English)
Indefinite articles are used for any instance of something. (a/an in English)
"Margot a _ belle voiture"
You have to use a definite article if "belle voiture" is unique and you're talking about this unique thing.
Margot a la belle voiture -> Margot owns the pretty car
You have to use an indefinite article if there are multiple "belle voiture" and you're only talking about one instance of that concept.
Margot a une belle voiture -> Margot owns a pretty car
