Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Or salut plus tard
We have lots of set expressions for saying "see you later." For example
À bientôt
À toute à l'heure
À plus tard
À la prochaine (a bit formel)
À demain
etc.
Ok thanks
No worries 🙂
The literal translation is « je te verrai plus tard » but this sounds menacing, almost as if you don't have a choice, so we never use it.
is that only used for formal conversations?
No, we literally never use it. Ever.
It is kinda threatning.
It's like saying in English, "I will see you later"
ahhhh 🤣
but out of these, what could i use for when i have an oral examination which needs to be totally formal
À la prochaine is quite formel.
It means "until next time".
À demain can also be used in formal situations but it means until tomorrow so it is not always useful...
oh ok, thank you man!
