Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Correct
For instance, it's always dormi for the verb dormir
You will never see dormis, dormie, dormies
Oh and because it wouldn't be fun if it was that easy, with avoir, the participe passé agrees with the object only if it is before the verb
Verb must be conjugated with avoir, there must be a object and the object needs to precede the verb right ?
The accord with the être verbs, do we call them the attribut du verbe ?
Ex. Elle est née à Nice.
And i heard a thing that called épithète
It is kind of an adjective i guess but not sure
Attribut du verbe is something i totally forgot lol sorry
Épithète is an adjective that is just before ou after the noun it qualifies
ex : une voiture noire
but if you say "J'ai vu une voiture, elle était noire", noire is an adjective, but not an épithète
i don't know what the purpose of naming it is
I see
Thank you
