to form the subjunctive, you do three things:

• conjugate the verb in the ils/elles form in the present tense
• remove the –ent ending from the verb
• add the appropriate subjunctive ending that corresponds to the grammatical person

you do know the endings for the subjunctive present tense, right?

• je → –e
• tu → –es
• il/elle → –e
• nous → –ions
• vous → –iez
• ils/elles → –ent
  they are similar to those of the indicative present tense, except for nous and vous
