Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Hi
"Quel" / "Quelle" is the french for "Which"
"Quelle pomme veux-tu ?" = "Which apple do you want ?"
It should be noted that « quel/quelle/quels/quelles » here is a determiner, a word that modifies a noun. It's often used in questions with a copula (to be/être) like « Quelle est ta couleur préférée ? » or directly with a noun « Quelle voiture aimes-tu ? ».
It's not really confusing; it's only confusing if you try and relate it to a language like English which merges the determiner (quel ordinateur préfères-tu ?) and the pronoun (que fais-tu ?).
It's more complex, and doesn't work in the case of the question they ask
I see it as a "In a bag full of many possible questions, which one do you pick ?"
