Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
I hate to say it, because it sounds like I'm an asshole, but I don't think it's the right place to ask something as specific about non-linguistics questions.
You should probably ask a competent entity about it.
Try to send an email to contact Ameli.fr or the national order of médecine.
These might be able to pinpoint exactly who and where you need to ask.
Nono, you're not an asshole, I didn't mean to ask for too much, I understand the specific of this server is linguistic, it's just that I asked the question before if I could ask unrelated questions on here and I didn't get a reply saying it's not allowed so I figured my question wasn't specific enough so I asked this to be more precise in what sense I mean "unrelated"
Of course I'm not expecting to get any official answers on here, what I meant was more like, culturally, what are some opinions on doctors coming from EU countries, how bad is the shortage in France etc.
I apologize once again, thank you for answering
Try r/askFrance
I just googled and found this - https://brm-conseil.fr/fr/2023/01/16/installation-medecin-liberal-avez-vous-pense-a-la-zone-de-revitalisation-rurale/
If anything, I'm the one who need to apologize. You did nothing wrong, a question is a question no matter what, and if that wasn't interesting, I wouldn't have answered it. I was just confused by what you wanted us to tell you. Hopefully there's someone more insightful to help you through it.
For the rest, the shortage is terrible, there's lots of smaller places with no doctors at all, even medium cities have trouble getting some, and if you're willing to get to a rural place, I factually know that you'll be much appreciated by the community, people adore having a doctor near their home, there's a special bond you can form with your doctor when getting well acquainted.
Also, France is generally speaking a country quite open to immigration (it still has its fair share of assholes of course), so I don't think you should be aware of it, though, I'm gonna say it bluntly, but be aware of the most rural places if you're black or asian. Just like in any country, the deeper you get into the countryside, the more monocultural people will be (usually speaking of course).
This is what made me want to ask on here
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your answers!!
Yeah, what's happening, according to myself (because I'm a self-made expert), is that, doctors practicing in rural places are often plain old dudes that often continue to work after retiring and having been there basically since the age of stone, so people are accustomed to a certain image of things, and it's not that easy to break these when you don't often see what's (and how) happening in the bigger cities. Hence why you have the right to be concerned if you are not a french looking person. It's a big decision, I wouldn't rush-in blindly, but people badly need doctors in France, to the point where you could easily say that the lack of doctors in certain sectors/cities is a national crisis.
Not sure if you're looking into settling in a désert médical, but no matter what you decide, be certain that you'll have patients in smaller towns, even if they dislike you.

I can't thank you enough for your answers
🥺💖💖💖
I love France and the French
Especially when it's nice people like you
Btw sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm speaking more generally now, the volunteers on this server are strictly that, volunteers?
Is there a buy me a coffee for this server or something?
Because it's so valuable
Thank you, I'm always happy to help someone who appreciates it, but for the rest I have no idea, sorry.
