Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Merci monsieur Nostra
Hm
Est-ce que t'as des exemples?
Does à refer to the use of something, why its there? Une recette à suivre?
Ah after a noun
J'ai besoin de temps à/pour le lire
Yeah, it's like
à => the use of the thing, the verb done to the thing
pour => the thing the noun helps you do
More or less
So here it would be "pour" because the time helps you read, you're not reading the time
Je veux quelque chose à manger (you want something to eat)
Je veux quelque chose pour manger => you want something to help you eat (a bit awkward written like this but that's the implication)
Prepositions are always gonna be a little finnicky but hopefully that helps :p
J'adore vraiment ce serveur, j'apprends beaucoup de vous
