Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
It would be simpler if I put this in the active voice: Le séjour dans l'eau a à moitié effacé une inscription (= writing) au crayon.
so the stay in the water half erased a pencil writing
Yep.
is there like a rule for word order or you do whatever you want in french?
what does "listing the words" mean?
like in the photo what made au crayon come before à moitié effacée
"à moitié effacée" is used as an adjective for "une inscription au crayon".
Une inscriction au crayon à moitié effacée = a half-erased pencil inscription
oooh
and par le sèjours dan l'eau naturally comes last
You generally put it after the past participle.
