Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
"je ne parle pas pour tout le monde" ?
peut-être que c'est ça !
"I'm not talking about all (video games, songs, movies, etc.)"
hmmmmm
Like
"No, I'm not talking about all..."
presumably you'd actually finish the sentence, right?
Yeah
well, what you say will depend on how you finish the sentence
"I'm not talking about all video games"
je ne parle pas de tous les jeux vidéo
Ok so then it would be
"Je n'en parle pas de tous"
Do you have to specify it?
Like "all that"
Maybe "de tous ça" then
je ne parle pas de tout ça / de toutes ces choses-là
Just be careful, while what I said is grammatically correct, it might not apply to the specific situation you're imagining in your head
I mean I thought "en" would take place somewhere so that I wouldn't need to specify it
I can't explain why, but the en mixing with the tous just causes static in my brain lol
