Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
without what ?
ne
ne amène la négation à la phrase
ne brings the negation to the sentence
Souvent le "ne" est accompagner d'un autre mot (ne + pas / ne + plus..)
Often the “ne” is accompanied by another word (ne + pas / ne + plus..)
when do we not accompany the ne with the other words?
Dans les poèmes ou d'autre écritures romancier je pense
In poems or other novelist writings I think
En langage courant souvent on ne dit pas le "ne" mais uniquement le "pas"
In everyday language we often don't say "ne" but only "pas"
For exemple : "Je n'ai pas faim" become "J'ai pas faim"
thank youu : )
No problem ^^
@vital acorn aucun X [...] ne is a form of negation that means no X [...]
like Personne... ne ou rien... ne
hopfully for you i had the context of the sentence 😉
holy shit wait yeah you're right it does use aucune... ne tyty : )
In this case, because the verb is pouvoir, the regardless of the subject you can use ne without pas
but as Pharma says, if the subject is already rien / personne / aucun·e, then it's just a standard negation
i know the song they were talking about haha, so i know the subject, mentionned in the previous verse, is aucun
