I'm surprised it did that, it usually doesn't mess up simple sentences like that so badly
its good at vocab but worse at structure and things like this
try deepl, it's way better
If you want vocab use a dictionary
I assure you it's not good for it
wordreference and reverso are both good options
And i think you can also use chatgpt for translations as well
