Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
"ne pas" is the way to negate an infinitive
je préférerais ne pas aller à l'école
you can also have negatives with "ne jamais faire qqc"... "ne plus faire qqc"...
oh.. so something like this is valid? "je veux ne pas y aller"
"I want to not go", yes
dans ce contexte je dirais "je ne veux pas y aller"
i don't want to go versus i would like to not go to school
it's not the most idiomatic way of saying it, just like in english, but it works
