Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Most quantifiers, including most negators, are followed by the preposition de
Beaucoup de carottes: many carrots
Combien de carottes: how many carrots
Pas de carottes: no carrots
Plus /plys/ de carottes: more carrots
Plus /ply/ de carottes: no more carrots
Moins de carottes: fewer carrots
Autant de carottes: as many carrots
500 grammes de carottes: 500g of carrots
...
Plus /plys/ de carottes: more carrots
Plus /ply/ de carottes: no more carrots

but apparently it's fine to say:
Il y a des citrons dans le frigo.
( citrons = lemons )
so the negative form somehow doesn't use des, it uses de 🤔
because there are none
uncountable
sometimes the frontier is thin ....
rajoute des carottes / un ajout de carottes
It's because there is no quantifier word before the noun.
