Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
neither
wdym
it should be « Je vais au jardin pour me promener. »
since the subject here is « je », we need to use the correct reflexive pronoun
and also, verbs after prepositions like « à », « de », « pour », « sans », etc... must be written in the infinitive form
I thought so, but it is not in the choices!
Thanks for that info, but what else I am curious to know!
maybe
well, i was only giving examples, but i guess most of the time, the verb that comes after any preposition is written in the infinitive form
however, there can be subtle exceptions
OK, Thanks!
for example, when you're using le gérondif, the verb after the preposition « en » is written as a present participle, not as an infinitve
- e.g. Il pleurait en racontant l'histoire
👍
what about this "Si on (visitait - allait) le musee"
visitait!
yesss 👏
because we use the verb visiter when talking about visiting a place or location
I mean I guess both work, but you mostly visit a museum
actually, « allait » wouldn't work here
then when do I use aller?
for the verb aller, you'll need the préposition « à » after the verb
you can't say « Je vais le supermarché. »
Oh, yeah!
thanks!
instead, you should say « Je vais au supermarché. »
No, I don't, but maybe later!
