Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Do you know conjugation?
The form a verb takes for a given tense depends on the subject person.
In the present, mange is the form for the first and third singular persons: je mange and il/elle/on mange.
And manges is the form for the second singular person: tu manges.
manger
Je mange
Tu manges
Il/Elle mange
Nous mangeons
Vous mangez
Ils/Elles mangent
Can you explain where and how I would use: manger, nous mangeons, vous mangenz
But im guessing ils/elles mangent means they are eating?
Je vais manger un poisson, I will eat a fish
Nous mangeons deux poissons, we are eating two fish.
Vous mangez trois poissons, you (plural) are eating three fish.
Monsieur, vous mangez quatre poissons, sir, you (formal) are eating four fish.
Cheers
in short this is like englihs
like how i/you/they do but he/she/it doES
each and every pronoun has its OWN conjugation
Je mange - I eat
Tu manges - You eat
Il/Elle mange - He/She eats
Nous mangeons - We eat
Vous mangez - You eat
Ils/Elles mangent - They(M/F) eat
thanks a bunch
and also manger is to eat
comes after a verb
i am going to eat a fish - je vais manger un poisson
as said above
