Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
is «temps» really used for time AND weather?
Yes, temps really means these two, and context tells you which meaning is used.
It puzzled me too before but it is just about the context
And you can add a preposition to easily differentiate
And there is a specific way to ask about each one of the meabings
Quel fait-il le Temps?
Quelle heure est-il ?
It is pretty self descriptive ngl
Quel temps fait-il ?*
I'm not sure we say that.
So in my example. No one would ask that?
Que est-ce le temps?
From my understanding I could read that as what is the time or how is the weather.
Not like this. That is to ask to give the definition of time.
