Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

"aimer bien" is a softer version of "aimer".
aimer = to love
aimer bien = to like

I guess you could call it that, yes

Are there any other examples of putting adjectives after the verb to modify its meaning?

you mean adverbs?

#

every time you use an adverb it modifies its meaning

this is idiomatic, but bien can both be a softner and an intensifier in different contexts

Je veux bien peindre.
I really want to paint.

J’aime bien peindre.
I like to paint.

This only happens if « aimer » iirc, in any other circumstance, « bien » will intensify a verb

Actually, “je veux bien” also carries an idiomatic meaning: it means “I accept”
