Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
not sure what you mean by "very known to us", it's a region of France like every other
and their french is similar to continental french, with a southern accent like in the south of France
maybe they have some expressions that are specific to Corsica but they are not very relevant i think
and they tend to disappear
what i mean by that is alot of times i mention french regions to people of France and alot of times they don't know they even existed or where it is or what it is. The only time ima get a guaranteed response is if i call "quebec, France, belgium , Switzerland"
you mean not relevant in their own land?
what regions did you mention
Caribbean, yes if i say les Antilles
i can't believe some french people don't know the existence of corsica
oh im not saying for this one specifically since its near France/Europe
well in the antilles we only have guadeloupe and martinique
and of course most french ppl know them
tho you don't know how much times someone told me they thought my accent was quebec because they did not know what Caribbean french was
neither the accent of existence
only because it was a bit different than european frenchðŸ˜
welp apparently the majority of the ones i do join calls with dont lol.
you forgot St Martin btw
i see
tho it does say
that people of st Martin can automatically gain french citizenship
