Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

"te" is an object pronoun. This has nothing to do with real life objects, it's a grammatical object, which means that it is the receiver of the verb's action.

Examples:

Mary loves John ==> "Mary" is the subject of the verb "loves" and "John" is its object.

I love you ==> "I" is the subject of the verb "love" and "you" is its object.

In French, when the object of the verb is "you", the translation of "you" is "te".

Je te déteste = I hate you. "je" is the subject of "déteste" and "te" is its object.

it's not formal, no. "tu" and its object pronoun vesion "te" are the informal version of "you".

The formal version is "vous"
