Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
at first thought I'd say no, but i guess when you refer to like your hometown or region when you're someplace else you can say "chez nous,..." and it means "where we're from,...". but i think that's applicable only if the one you're speaking to knows where you're from
even if it's just me in the context, nobody else, you can say "chez nous" to refer to roughly where I am from?
