Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Ça fait tout de même baisser notre moyenne.
'It still lowers our average.'
What does he mean by that? Wouldn't finding no barbarians lower it more than finding barbarians?
I'm guessing that he means the average of their sales or something since before saying that, the character said, 'I hope we won't find too many brigands on our way', implying that those brigands would steal or rob them of their profits
It depends on the previous contexts though so I don't know if that's accurate
(they're going to a village to meet a guy who makes golden bill hooks to buy one.) The journey is known for having barbarians + brigands on the way in the forest.
So my guess was close in that they don't want to meet anymore brigands in fears of them being robbed thus lowering their wealth
I'm unsure. They're known for being as strong as they are fearless. If losing money is their concern, then I don't think it's due to getting robbed, but due to not meeting a quota. Carrying stones, perhaps?
That could make sense
I understand it as they walking pace (moyenne standing for vitesse moyenne)
Talking about one's moyenne this way, and how it is degraded by red lights or passerbys interrupting you, is rather common in runners and dricers' jargon
@cold bloom Hope we don't find too many brigands on our way, that will just slow us down. Like that?
That was the feeling I had when I first read it
just found the English version
So probably is to do with their journey/walk speed thank you

Pretty much yes.
To them bandits are a mere inconvenience
Yeah they just have conversations about whatever while they slap them
