Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

n°1
« ...changer de voie ferrée »

  • you are talking about changing/switching from any train track (not specific)

n°2
« ...changer des voies ferrées »

  • you are talking about changing/switching from specific train tracks
    OR...
  • you are talking about physically changing some train tracks
#

for n°2, « des » is formed from the contraction of « de + les » for the first meaning, while in the second meaning, « des » is an indefinite article

#
