Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Tu dois mettre du, de la ou de l' avant les noms et il faut faire attention au genre des noms pour savoir quel partitif c'est le bon
"Riz"et "sucre" ce sont des noms masculins, donc c'est du
Par exemple
J'ai réalisé que je m'étais trompé d'abord, voici mon message édité
okay and how do i know if something is plural or feminine/masculine?
to know the gender of a noun, you look it up in a dictionary or you memorize its gender
Yeah basically this
there are some patterns to the endings of nouns, but they're not 100% reliable
plurals for most nouns are marked with an s
but some irregular nouns work differently, so you need to learn those patterns
And in fact I forgot about the partitif des, you use it for countable nouns like des oeufs et des amandes in your exercise
you should check this out https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/nouns/
and make sure to read the linked (purple text) articles
C'est "de la cannelle" mais sauf ça c'est parfait !
