Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
Sentir = to smell / to physically feel / to have a feeling that
Je sens ta main me toucher = I feel your hand touching me
Je sens une mauvaise odeur = I’m smelling a foul smell
Je sens qu’il va se passer quelque chose = I have a feeling that somethings going to happen
Ressentir + noun = to feel an emotion.
Je ressens de la joie = I’m feeling joy
Se sentir + adjective: to feel a certain way
Je me sens heureux = I’m feeling happy
if you just said “je sens ta main” would that mean “i can smell your hand”?
