Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Not really, aside from learning the gender WITH the word
Words ending in -tion you can pretty safely assume are feminine. There are some other ending rules but I personally don't use them as they can be misleading at times, as there will always be exceptions.

C'est pourtant comme ça que les natifs apprennent : on apprend pas à dire "bonbon" mais "un bonbon", c'est pas vraiment plus difficile d'apprendre un nom avec son article indéfini que le nom tout seul

La plupart des mots se terminant par -ment sont masculins : Un appartement, Un département, Un document, Un gouvernement

Ceux qui se terminent par -isme sont aussi masculins : Le capitalisme, Le christianisme , Le féminisme, Le minimalisme

C'est la même pour ceux qui se terminent par -oir : Un devoir, Le savoir, Un soir
