Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
like i know that plus que parfait the event occurs before another past event but sometimes my teacher uses the passe compose eventhough one event occurs before another

As I understand it from reading various French fiction, the plus que parfait puts an event before the passe simple event happened. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
like for example in this sentence: ex) Le chanteur de coldplay etait tres gentil et il leur a parle apres que le concert a termine (here passe compose was used twice)
another one: ex) le concert etait fantastique et james et tom s'y etaient amuses (why was plus que parfait used here?)
@potent sentinel
pls help <@&744079644168290366> ... i have a test tomorrow
...
Both the passé composé and the plus-que-parfait work, it just depends on how long it's been. The passé composé here meant that the singer of Coldplay talked to fans (I assume) immediately or a few hours after the concert ended. If we were using the plus-que-parfait instead, it would mean that the singer talked to fans long after the concert ended, maybe the concert was on a Monday and he was out and about talking to fans on a Thursday. For « après que », you can read that here.

I have no idea, actually, because I would've used passé composé
oh
because using the pluperfect there implied that James and Tom were having a good time before the concert
thats what i thought before too
like if I were to say, 'The concert was great, I had a great time', I probably would say, « Le concert était super, je me suis bien amusé »
ex) ils se sont couches apres qu'ils s'etaient brosses les dents (here would it be plus que parfait cuz the gap between the 2 are long)
