Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
and honestly "j'abaissai moi-même les yeux" confuses me as well
the "moi-même" part
i know it means "i lowered my eyes "but the grammar confuses me
if you have a question about a specific phrase, have you tried using a dictionary app?
do you know what course means?
do you not know what moi-même or are you asking how to translate the sentence into English? French is not English, I don't just mean in terms of pronouns or word order or something like that. There are ways of expressing yourself that are more common in French than in English and vice-versa. You're not going to be able to find a rule for this sort of thing, it's just going to make sense after you've read a lot. The best way to read a lot is to just keep reading and not pause to ask questions unless you actually can't follow the plot.
i know what course mean
i dont know what prendre le pas de course means tho
im not asking about translating at all just wandering if someone could enlighten me on the grammar cause ive never seen moi-même be used like this
Prendre le pas de course just means courir.
Course and courir are related.
