Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
for example
“Vous prenez vos medicaments mais les miens sont tres puissant”
how does the second pronoun posssessif be less miens
can it be any other ones like les siens?
the subject and verb have no bearing on who's doing the possessing
je prends mes médicamments -> expected
je prends tes médicamments -> might be dangerous and you could be mad
je prends ses médicamments -> might be dangerous and he or she might be mad
etc.
ahahaha yes
the adjective is fine
how about the pronouns
thank you 🙏
le mien -> my one (but representing a masculine noun)
la mienne -> my one (but representing a feminine noun)
les mien -> my ones (but representing a masculine noun)
les miennes -> my ones (but representing a feminine noun)
le sien -> his one (but representing a masculine noun)
la sienne -> his one (but representing a feminine noun)
les siens -> his ones (but representing a masculine noun)
la sienne -> his ones (but representing a feminine noun)
again, it's not the subject or verb that changes this, but the meaning that you're seeking to convey
that makes sense
