Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

Erm this translation sounds a bit too literal, « en face partie » doesn’t mean anything as far as I know, and searches online brought up nothing.

En fasse partie, perhaps

You can tell it’s a literal translation of the English because of that « alors »; French if clauses never start the consequence part with « alors (then) », that’s an English thing.

But yeah the translation is weird

Like… part of what?

so en fasse partie wouldn't work?

Ok that makes some sense actually because I think in the context the speaker wants to form the group herself. Is it still an awkward construction though if its changed like that?

If you remove « alors » it’s okay, the construction si + imparfait + conditionnel is used to talk about a hypothetical situation
