Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.
Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.
How about you give it a try first?
ok
so
idk if i put it in passe compose or imparfait
which one is it
this the whle thing
@silk hemlock
i think it is
il etait 6H30
il pleuvait
Yep, these two sentences provide background information for the scene, so imparfait can be used.
then is it j'ai prende
You need to use the past participle of prendre but you used the right tense, given it's a one-time thing.
@silk hemlock
in the second to last sentence
Le patron n'est pas contnet
woudl it be
le patron n'etait pas content
or
actually
its not impfartiat
i think
so le patron n'a pas ete content
Yup, emotions or states of things in the moment in the past generally use imparfait.
Even if it's finished later, the emotion was there when he arrived.
Knowledge, or lack thereof, is generally a long-term thing.
conetxt: my teacher gave me a 0 for a asismgnet cuz i dindt upload pic of the hw, so im saying i dditn know i had to ,,,,,,,,,,
so its imprafiat?
Yep. Knowledge is an ongoing process.
im cooked for my french quiz yo
this telling if its passe compose or impfarfiat is complciated
Practise them and you'll use them basically flawlessly.
