Please be patient

Our volunteers look into many questions every day; sometimes it takes them a little while to answer.

Pro tip: you can rename the thread title with `.tr <thread name>`

Make it descriptive, including relevant context, but also to the point. This way you improve your chances of getting a more relevant and specific answer.

noble sundial

euh bein, biensur on le considerais "pourrais-je" plus poli

I TAKE

I would say that English is kind of an exception where you need to wrap a normal request in multiple layers of "Could I please ..." where "I'll have a X" could seem too direct, it's a problem for a lot of ESL learners

I.e. don't think too much about the norms in English translating to other languages

imagine in a bakery the lady asks what you would like and you just said "I take a cake"

lost parrot
#

To me "pourrais-je avoir" is asking for permission and I wouldn't say that to order in this context

#

You can also use "j'aimerais"/"je voudrais"

I can't agree on that view but wtv
